Waste (WEEE) Management License:

IT-Green® holds a Waste Management License as an e-waste reprocessor for the treatment of WEEE. This license, also known as a Permit or Operator's License , allows us to carry out the:

  • Processing of WEEE for the purpose of recovery
  • Shredding of e-waste
  • Baling of WEEE
  • Recovery of Components and materials from WEEE

The license does not permit the treatment of goods containing Ozine Depleting Substances. as a result, we are not permitted to accept the following waste electrical/ electronic goods at our facility:

  • Fridges
  • Freezers
  • Air Conditioning Units

Approved Authorised Treatment Facility (AATF)

Our facility is licensed as an Approved Authorised Treatment Facility (AATF), permitting us to issue evidence to Producer Complance Schemes. Evidence covers all 10 categories and is issued on a tonnage basis, by category, against the Consignor's account.

If you intend to use our facility for the processing of Evidenced WEEE, please ensure that you segregate it as much as possible prior to it's arrival. This is best down by category and allows for us to weight the waste in quickly and efficiently.

We consign all wastes recieved back to the environment Agency and settlement centres on a quarterly basis. Evidence of this is forwarded to you upon completion of each quarter.

Licensed Data Controller

We believe that it's important to ensure security of client information and as such are a licensed Data Controller with the Information Comissioner's Office. We don't share your information with third parties and won't divulge the contents of any confidential information bearing media passed onto us for destruction.

Professionally trained Personnel

A smooth, efficient waste management facility requires highly skilled and knowledgable personnel. Our Employees hold relevant qualifications with WAMITAB, including NVQ level 2 to 4. IT personnel hold qualifications from Microsoft. Employees hold memberships with relevant industry bodies, allowing them to maintain up-to-date professional development.

Health and Safety

The safety and well-being of our employees is paramount to continued success. Health and safety documentation, training, supervision and our Environmental Management Systems are all kept regularly up-to-date. Our facility has to date a zero incident rate and we'd like to keep it this way.

Other Licenses & Exemptions

We maintain a database of some 10 licenses, allowing for the transportation, treatment, processing and recycling of many wastes. Our facility currently treats some 200 tonnes of business related WEEE (e-waste) and another 30 tonnes of other Business related wastes per annum. To this end, we hold the following licenses and exemptions:
